In this article, Peter Chopra from GO provides some valuable tips on how to sell your business.
Company overview
Great Outcomes is an M&A advisory boutique that specialises in providing service-sector businesses with transaction and transaction-related consulting and services to maximise shareholder returns.
Great Outcomes provides a full range of transaction services ranging from sale, acquisition, mergers, joint ventures to restructure, raising private equity and floatation. Great Outcomes is also able to go beyond the transaction with its suite of innovative and affordable products which focus on the transitions before and after a transaction which transform the probabilities of that transaction being a success.
Our transaction and transaction-related consulting services are relevant to entrepreneurs heading up small and medium sized enterprises as well as large corporations and financial institutions. We are based in the UK but think and act internationally.

How we operate
At Great Outcomes you get:
- Experienced professionals – we are experts in what we do.
- Personal input – our business is based on providing you with senior expert input. We do not operate a classic management consulting pyramid founded on senior staff being involved at the start and finish of a project but junior staff doing all the work.
- Clear values – our values define us and the sort of people we are.
- Reputation – our sales model works primarily by way of referral and word of mouth so client satisfaction is paramount to us.
- Better motivation – we are small and lean which means we have a bigger personal interest in the fees we receive and consequently the results we yield for you.
- Better value – we don't have a big corporate overhead to support which means we provide better value to you.
Most of all – we are passionate about what we do and we care about the outcomes we achieve for you.
Our values
It may seem odd that financial advisers talk about values! It is all about money isn't it?
Values define who we are and how we reach decisions. Our values go beyond a code of ethics (which provide rules on what businesses do and are still important e.g. no deal conflicts), to define us as professionals.

And yes, your money is still VERY important to us!
Corporate social responsibility
It is all about Profit? So what about the other "P's" – People and Planet? Is it a choice? We would say no. Good, sustainable businesses should care about all three.
At Great Outcomes, people are treated with respect regardless of sex, religious beliefs, nationality, creed, colour, class, background or disability. Our Planet is a wonderful gift and we ensure that our footprint leaves at least the same resources in place for future generations to enjoy as we have benefited from ourselves.
